When a product cannot tolerate air, agitation or a temperature above 60 °C, drying becomes a static, sealed operation. The YZG-1000 static vacuum tray dryer is built exactly for that case: trays loaded with powder or granule sit on a heated shelf rack inside a vacuum chamber, and moisture leaves the product by conduction through the tray bottom while a vacuum pump holds the chamber at 0.098 MPa or better. There is no air stream, no impeller and no tumbling, so the material keeps its shape, its crystal form and its colour.
Because the boiling point falls with pressure, the static vacuum tray dryer works at a shelf temperature of 35 to 150 °C while the product itself stays far below that, which protects thermolabile actives, prevents oxidation and stops polymerization in sensitive chemical intermediates. The chamber can be disinfected before the cycle begins and stays sealed throughout, so no impurity enters the batch between loading and unloading, a property that pharmacopoeia compliant production requires.

The static vacuum tray dryer is chosen wherever heat, oxygen or movement would change the product:
Because loading and unloading happen with the chamber open and the cycle runs sealed, the static vacuum tray dryer also suits strongly irritating or toxic powders: the operator is exposed only briefly, and the exhaust is routed through the condenser instead of the room.
Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy use vacuum instead of a hot air oven? Under vacuum the water boils at a much lower temperature, so a static vacuum tray dryer can drive off moisture with the shelf at 35 to 150 °C while the product itself stays cool. Oxygen is also excluded, so oxidation and colour change are avoided.
How long does a batch take? A 32 tray load at moderate moisture typically dries in 8 to 16 hours depending on the product, the shelf temperature and the vacuum level held. The cycle is longer than a fluid bed, but it is the only option for products that cannot be fluidized.
Will the trays distort at 0.784 MPa? No. The tray pipes are pressure tested and the rack is designed for 0.784 MPa steam with a safety margin. A pressure test certificate is supplied with each static vacuum tray dryer.
Can solvent be recovered? Yes. A shell and tube condenser plus a receiver is added to the vacuum line, and 85% to 95% of the solvent is recovered for reuse or disposal, depending on the condenser area selected.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceThe static vacuum tray dryer ships as a complete chamber with the shelf rack braced inside and the vacuum pump, condenser and control cabinet in separate export cases. Hydrostatic pressure testing of the chamber and the tray pipes, a vacuum leak test, temperature uniformity measurement and electrical safety checks are completed before dispatch, with material certificates and a chamber drawing set. The warranty covers 12 months, and we supply tray gaskets, door seals, pump spares and shelf pipe fittings as a two year spare kit.
