For coffee roasters, packaging links product quality to market presentation. The shift from manual bagging to automated production is not only a matter of throughput; it also affects freshness, package consistency and brand professionalism. Vertical form-fill-seal technology is central to that transition, and machine selection depends on production scale, bag format and integration needs.
The automation path in coffee packaging generally follows a stepwise pattern. Manual bagging and sealing remain common at low-volume startups, while entry-level VFFS systems introduce roll-fed forming and filling. More advanced configurations add degassing valves, nitrogen flushing and retail-ready finishes such as flat-bottom and corner-seal formats.
The lineup spans compact entry-level units to fully integrated professional systems. The table below summarizes the positioning and primary advantages of each series.
| Series | Positioning | Core advantages |
|---|---|---|
| G21 | Compact entry level | Economical and efficient; supports multiple bag styles; includes basic valve and nitrogen-flush functions. |
| G16 | Cost-effective integration | Equipped with a finishing conveyor, fast changeover and an intuitive touch-screen HMI. |
| G18 | High-output automation | Multiple configurations (standard, continuous and dual-tube) for high-frequency production. |
| G14/G14E | Fully integrated professional grade | Highly customizable; the G14E improves ergonomics and compact-space layout. |
The G21 series is a compact VFFS machine designed for small-batch production. It supports pillow bags, CORNERSEAL® corner seals, flat-bottom bags and side-gusset bags, and can integrate one-way valve application, nitrogen flushing and thermal label printing. The system is intended to raise production efficiency for smaller operations.
The G16 is a newer fully integrated model that offers high-end package finishing at a more competitive cost than the G14 series, making it suited to brands seeking a square shelf appearance. The G14 series and its G14E update use PLC control and an HMI interface to support fast changeover and customization, including load sensors and integrated printers. The G14E further reduces machine height to fit compact modern production spaces.
The G18 series comes in three configurations, from a servo-controlled general-purpose model to a dual-tube continuous-motion high-output model. The range is positioned to meet throughput requirements across different roaster scales.
All models in the lineup are optimized for the market's shift toward sustainable packaging. The machines are designed to handle recyclable materials efficiently while maintaining package integrity and freshness at production speed.
